A single bronze resin roundel holds two faces, back to back. On one side, Summer gazes out from a crown of roses and open blossom, a butterfly resting at her shoulder, her hair falling loose like water. Turn the disc, and Winter appears — hooded, still, wreathed in bare branches, ivy and clustered berries, his expression drawn inward against the cold.
Mounted on a slender wooden column, the roundel pivots, allowing the piece to be turned to greet the viewer with whichever season they choose.
Cast in bronze resin with a rich verdigris patina, the surface deepens and softens with time outdoors.
