A single bronze resin roundel holds two faces, back to back. On one side, Night looks down from beneath a deep hood, a wreath of grapes, berries and seed heads gathered at her brow; moths circle her through drifting cloud, and two stars stand above. Turn the disc, and Day appears bare-headed, her hair falling loose, framed by poppies, daffodils, lupins, ivy and umbels of wild flowers, a single butterfly settling below.
Mounted on a base of rough, layered rock cast in the same resin, the roundel turns, allowing the piece to greet the viewer with either night or day.
Cast in bronze resin with a verdigris patina, the surface deepens and softens with time.
