Claremont Sculpture Exhibition

For one month this June, the Surrey Sculpture Society returned to Claremont Landscape Garden, siting its annual exhibition along the paths that wind around the lake.

I had the pleasure of managing the exhibition, and the particular satisfaction of working with many talented sculptors. Among the pieces was one of my own.

Summer and Winter is a rotating rondel in cold bronze, standing 1.3 metres high on its plinth. Its two faces turn through the seasons. The rondel turns, and the head comes round to meet the viewer — winter giving way to summer. The Surrey Sculpture Society returns to Claremont next year, and I hope to see the gardens filled with new work once again.
